JUNIOR SCHOOL: AGES 3 TO 7 years
Creative Movement (3yrs) and Pre-Ballet(4 yrs) movement classes develop body awareness, rhythm, flexibility and coordination. The RAD Syllabus begins at Pre-Primary(5 yrs) & Primary(6yrs), developing and exploring the rudiments of classical ballet.

Uniform: Pale Blue Body Suit, tank Style, (#1645, Mondor), Pink ballet slippers, Pink tights ALL Available at: The Rite Fit, Mic Mac Mall, (463-8700)

Placement Guidelines (dancers attend dance class once a week)

-3 years old CREATIVE MOVEMENT

LOWER SCHOOL : Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) - GRADES 1 to 5 (AGES 8 & UP)
Traditional Classical Ballet training which develops elegant, strong classical technique on a firm musical foundation.

Uniform: Black tank Bodysuit (style #1633 Mondor), Pink ballet slippers, Pink tights, Available at: The Rite Fit, MicMac Mall, (463-8700)

Placement Guidelines by age (dancers attend dance class twice a week)

-GRADE ONE: 8 & UP

-GRADE TWO: 9 & UP

-GRADE THREE: 10 & UP

-GRADE FOUR : 10 & UP

-GRADE FIVE : 10 & UP

-PERFORMANCE CLASS - (GRADE 4 up by Director's invitation) Sunday

Intensive Training Program

Grade 1 -5 : Requirements

Grade One twice a week / Jazz

Grade Two twice a week / Jazz

Grade Three twice a week / Jazz /Modern

Grade Four twice a week / Jazz & or Hip Hp / Modern

Grade Five twice a week / Jazz & or Hip Hop/ Modern

Students from the 4 level may be invited into the Performance class by the Director when it is felt that the dancer has demonstrated an appropriate level of technique and commitment.

UPPER SCHOOL : RAD- INTERMEDIATE FOUNDATION TO ADVANCED 2

PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM AVAILABLE See below for details

UNIFORM : available through The Shoe Room at the National Ballet School in Toronto: see below for details

Classes range from 1.5 hrs-2hrs in length and it is highly recommended that students of these levels participate in

3 ballet classes per week. See schedule for days and times

The Director may invite dancers from the Intermediate Foundation level + into the Performance Class and Dancers of the Intermediate level + may be invited to join Coastal Dance Theatre Society, a Pre-Professional Performance Company, when it is felt that the dancer has demonstrated an appropriate level of technique and commitment.
